Johnny Warren Jamberoo Classic

Had a great ride in The Johnny Warren Classic yesterday. 100kms into the wind and rain.

At about the 70km mark I was in bunch that was probably going a bit fast for my level.
Anyway I dropped my chain off the front ring and had to stop to get it back on. This bloke that I didn't know from a bar of soap (from Kiama) stopped and offered to help me get back on the bunch. Now I'm thinking I was sort of happy to get dropped because they were above my level but how could I not accept his offer as it would be twice as hard for him to get back on by himself. Well 3-4klms of redlining it in a pairs TT we got back on but I was well and truly rooted!

The bunch stuck together until we hit some hills at about 90klms and I ended up riding with the guy that helped me out where we admitted to each other that we both went too hard for too long. It was a great ride and great feed with the family at the Pub afterwards.

Followed this up with a 11km run this morning that took me until 6-7klms before the legs didn't fell like rocks! I really should of gone longer but had no one to look after the kids! Argh school holidays!
